Aber ein paar Himmelsfotos konnte ich dennoch schießen.

Weekend Reflections

einfach so * just so

Heute scheint mal ENDLICH wieder die Sonne! Was macht der Fotograf dann am liebsten? Kamera schnappen und raus fotografieren :-)
Die Blüte schwimmt in einer Vogeltränke, die reichlich gefüllt ist, und im Sonnenschein gibt es einen schönen Schatten.

Today the sun is shining again after a long time! What does a photographer do then? Get the camera out and hunt for a nice motive ;-)
The blossom is floating in a bird's bath, which is filled to the top, and in the sunshine there is a nice shadow.

Und auch wenn an einem blauen Himmel sonst nichts besonderes ist - heute schon :-)
And a blue sky is nothing spectacular, normally, but today it is :-)

Pimp my Bag

Also, ich gestehe es direkt: ich habe diese Tasche nicht selbst genäht, sondern auf einem Kunsthandwerkermarkt gekauft. Aber sie war mir noch nicht "schön" genug und ich wollte noch gerne ein paar orange Elemente darauf haben. Daher habe ich sie kurzerhand ein wenig aufgehübscht.

Well, I admit: I didn't make this tote bag myself, I bought it on an artisan market. But it was not "ready" in my eyes, it needed some more orange elements. Therefore I did it up with some beads.

Es hat heute ja viel geregnet, aber es gab auch Pausen. Da habe ich mir meine Kamera geschnappt und ein paar Regentropfen fotografiert.

Today it rained a lot, but with some interruptions. In one of those breaks I took my camera and chased some rain drops.

Freutag * Friday pleasure

Manchmal schaut man ja nicht immer so genau hin - und dann auf einmal springt es einen förmlich an. So geschehen mit meinem Blattkaktus {Epiphyllum}... er steht da auf der Fensterbank vor sich hin und auf einmal hat er 3 wunderschöne Blüten! Dieses Jahr sind es "nur" 3, letztes Jahr hatte er sogar 6 Stück.

Sometimes you don't have a close look, and then suddenly it hits you. So it happened with my leaf cactus {Epiphyllum}... it's sitting there on the window sill and once of a sudden it has 3 blossoms! Last year it even had 6 blossoms!

 

Am Mittwoch habe ich ein bisschen experimentiert und ein Foto aus der Serie möchte ich euch zeigen, weil ich es so dramatisch finde. Heute ist leider alles nur grau-in-grau...

On Wednesday I did a few experiments and one photo of this series I show you as it is quite dramatic. Unfortunately today the sky is grey-in-grey...

Patch-Ball ~ Fertig! * Ready!

Hier habe ich euch von dem neuen Projekt erzählt, welches ich aus den Stoffresten machen will, die ich auf dem Textilmarkt erstanden habe. Der kleine Ball ist fertig :-)

Here I told you about the new project, for which I wanted to use the fabric scraps I bought on the fabric market. The little ball is ready :-)

Und mein Sommergetränk dieses Jahr ist -nein nicht der Schnittlauchblüten-Essig von hier- obwohl die Farbe sehr ähnlich ist, sondern Rhabarber-Nektar. Sehr lecker, sehr erfrischend und nicht zu süß.

And this year's summer drink is -not the chive blossom vinegar from here- although the colour is very similar, no, it is rhubarb juice. Yummy, refreshing and not too sweet.

Vor einiger Zeit habe ich einen Tipp entdeckt, wie man GIFs erstellen kann, diese animierten Bildchen. Da gibt es eine Website *klick*, wo man diese kostenlos erstellen und downloaden kann. Cool! Das birgt noch einiges an Potential, wenn ich überlege, was man damit so alles anstellen kann... ;-)

Some time ago I found a tip how one can make GIFs - those little animated images. There is a website *click* where you can upload your photos and download an animation - and it's for free. Cool! There are lots of possibilities... ;-)
